Crochet Dolls Dresses

These dolls dresses are crocheted from rayon cotton. This thread was very popular for babies clothes many years ago.

While they would fit a newborn to 3month old baby I have made them for that very special doll and in particular the Reborn Dolls.

The top of these dresses will be all the same. That is a round neck with ribbon insertion so it can be adjusted and insertion through the bodice to that this can be adjusted as well. I have also taken into account the fittings that these dolls have in the arms.

The pattern on the skirt will vary as boredom sets in very quickly.  The pattern in the photo is based on what is known  in crochet circles as a pineapple design.  These are available in pale pink and a deeper pink at the moment.  I do currently have a dress with a square neck and a scalloped pattern skirt that looks pretty good.  However this neckline is not adjustable.
